The goats of S&B now spend their summer vacations in what we affectionately named “The Gulch.” It’s an overgrown, uneven, heavily vegetated area between the end of fields 4-7, and the start of fields 8-12 (you can read more about this section of the farm in my Fencing 2.0 post from 2017!)
I was intrigued to read an article in today’s Washington Post about how goats are being used to help clean up an overgrown park in New York City.
Our goats are great for brush and undergrowth cleanup
while the sheep definitely prefer to be lawnmowers!
