Caribbean Heat Lamb Chops
An easy-to-make tasteful main course in less than 30 minutes!
Equipment
- Cast Iron Skillet
- Meat Thermometer
- Aluminum Foil
- Kitchen Timer
- Tongs
Ingredients
- 2-3 sprays Avocado Oil
- 1 lb S&B Bell Farms Lamb Chops
- 1/2 tsp. Goodin's Garden Caribbean Heat Habanero Powder
- 1 Tbsp. Maple Syrup
- 1 Tbsp. Goodin's Garden Jalapeno Syrup
- 1 Tbsp. Peach Habanero Jelly
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Lay out the lamb chops to get the chill off the meat
- Spray the cast iron skillet with the avocado oil, and then pre-heat on the stove top over medium heat
- While the skillet is pre-heating, measure the ingredients for the Caribbean Heat Sauce in a bowl
- Mix well and set aside
- Season one side of lamb chops with salt, pepper, and 1/4 tsp. of the Caribbean Heat Habanero powder.
- Add chops to skillet, seasoned-side down. Set kitchen timer for 3 minutes, and season the other side with salt, pepper, and remaining Caribbean Heat Habanero powder. When the timer goes off, flip chops.
- Using the meat thermometer, check temperature of the chops. For medium rare, the target is 145 degrees. If the meat is more than 10 degrees away from the desired temp, add an aluminum foil "tent" to capture the heat. Re-check the temperature after approx. 90 seconds
- Pull the chops off the heat, and add to plate. Spoon sauce over the chops and serve immediately
