Garlic Scape Compound Butter
Equipment
- sharp knife
- 1 cutting board
- 1 medium sized bowl
- 1 stirring spoon
- plastic wrap
Ingredients
- 1 stick softened butter
- 2 garlic scapes
- 1 large handful parsley*
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Wash the garlic and parsley, and dry with a clean towel.
- Chop the scapes and parsley into very small pieces.
- Add the softened butter, chopped scapes, and parsley to the bowl
- Stir well to combine
- Lay out a sheet of plastic wrap, approximately 12" long
- Spoon the butter mixture down the middle of the plastic wrap, making a "log"
- Using the plastic wrap, push the butter together. Roll the plastic wrap to cover the butter completely and tuck the ends under to secure.
- Refrigerate, to allow the butter to solidify.
- Use liberally as vegetable seasoning, garlic bread flavoring, or main dish finishing!
