welcome

S&B Bell Farms in Hodgenville, KY started out with a purely functional purpose: to make good use of land that we own. Over the months, the concept of alpaca farming has branched out to several other areas of farming. In order to run a sustaining farm, we realized that we needed to consider the interconnectedness of the land and the animals, and to provide the best environment that we can for both.

Routine physical this morning (for me) - and as the nurse was putting on the blood pressure cuff she was caught off guard at the many bruises and scrapes.

So cute

Want to know how Brian takes full advantage of the leftovers from our hay wasting sheep?

This afternoon, he cleaned out under their hay cradle, loaded it all up into the manure spreader, and is now treating one of the new fields with a double dose of homemade fertilizer and seed from that wasted hay.

He even managed to capture the beautiful sunset with his action shot 😉
